This addition and renovation to the Cannon School located in Concord, North Carolina developed from a “napkin” concept to a operating facility in eight months. Myers & Chapman was a key team member throughout the project and was heavily involved in the preconstruction phase to help maintain an acceptable budget. The project consisted of a 15,000 sf three story administration and general classroom addition built adjacent to the fully functioning school to serve the Upper School. In addition, a series of science classrooms were added to the core of the existing facility by demolishing existing general classroom space. The project was delivered ahead of an aggressive fall turnover date with no changes to the original budget

Lake Forest Community Church is a 33,000 square foot sanctuary/activities center accompanied by a classroom wing, and was completed on a 20 acre site in Huntersville, NC. The project was designed with many different building materials, including stone, precast panels, EIFS as well as masonry. Our contract included the site development of over 12 acres and required some of the first water quality ponds in Mecklenburg County. Myers and Chapman worked extensively with the building committee and design team to maintain the project schedule and budget.

It incorporates many different aspects of construction, from site preparation, shell construction, and multiple use interior construction. The interior features living spaces, kitchen areas, an exercise facility, dining areas, common spaces, nursing areas, and offices. Most areas had extensive wood trim accents and a variety of wall coverings.
