Huntersville Police Station: Huntersville, NC

The new Huntersville Police Station was a great team effort by the Town of Huntersville, Yates Chreitzberg Hughes Architects and Myers & Chapman.   The new Police Station was a testament to creativity and commitment to do what is best for all concerned.  The team was able to complete the project on time and at about one-third of the estimated $18 Million that the Town originally expected such a project to cost.  This was possible because the Town purchased a vacant building in a prime location and them renovated it to achieve the needs of the Police Department.  The building is 23,000 square feet and now contains everything needed for a professional Police unit.  The building now includes a specially equipped garage, arrest processing area, offices, fitness room, lockers, training space, crime analysis and evidence processing rooms, and much more.  Many of the areas are secured with locking doors, cameras, etc.  Huntersville Police Chief Potter commented, “Myers-Chapman did an exceptional job with this project and exceeded my expectations. I appreciate the hard work and dedication right through the last day and a commitment to oversee any follow thru even after leaving.”
